Docemy, Latest Edu App for MBBS Students with 35 Faculty Onboard, Releases Public Beta in the Run-Up to National Exit Test

KOCHI, India, Sept. 23, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Celebrate Learning owned Docemy medical learning app has released its beta version to step-up medical school learning experience and maximise concept learning among MBBS students. Docemy’s beta launch will help learners gain a clinical scenario based perspective amidst the disruption in mainstream medical education. The app will also help MBBS students ace National Exit Test (NEXT) which is poised to replace NEET-PG by the year 2023.

Structured around clinical scenario based teaching, Docemy offers a series of tutorials that match everyday challenges at hospitals. Learners have access to comprehensive video lectures in all the 11 clinical disciplines along with high-quality infographics, quizzes and interactive sessions. Its learning calendar will help 3 lakh students pursuing MBBS in India to negotiate voluminous study loads. Classes are pre-recorded so that students can choose to learn anytime and at their own pace.

Co-founded by doctors Nishanth B Singh & Vinod VS, Docemy has an exceptional faculty line-up of 35 specialists and superspecialists from premier medical institutions and hospitals across India including AIIMS, PGI, JIPMER and NIMHANS. With COVID-19 impacting medical education and learning continuity, Docemy offers students an alternative, adaptive platform that helps them learn from experts themselves without having to travel or use expensive technology.

The medical lectures are aligned to prepare MBBS students to take on competitive exams like the National Exit Test and gain incentives – another exciting feature to watch out for in the coming months. Clinical subjects are prioritised so that medical students are exposed to holistic understanding instead of rote learning. Altogether, students have access to 450-plus videos from all the 11 clinical subjects of the course – Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Skin, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Psychiatry, ENT and Ophthalmology.

“Medical education is about to change in a big way. With Competency Based Medical Education introduced in 2019 and the National Exit Test replacing postgraduate entrance exams from 2023, the depth of clinical knowledge and skills of students will be tested more, from now on. This is the gap we are filling with case vignette based classes and assessments. With Docemy, our multi-pronged approach, dedicated faculty team and leveraging technology ensures that students enjoy a personalized learning experience while attaining the desired clinical skills,” said co-founder Dr. Nishanth B Singh.

Students can start learning with the free course. The app is now available for download on Android and will be released on iOS shortly.
