Ferrero India launches Kinder Joy of Moving in India

Kinder Joy of moving is an international Ferrero Group Social Responsibility project that aims to inspire children and their families to get active, enjoy moving, and develop life skills in an engaging and joyful way.

Ferrero India has announced the launch of Kinder Joy of Moving (KJOM), a Ferrero Social Responsibility program of the Ferrero Group in India.

The globally successful model in KJOM is a scientifically recognized methodology that aims to get children moving, through play whilst developing key skills in major areas of – Physical fitness, Motor Coordination, Cognitive Function, Creativity and Life Skills. At a ground level, Ferrero India has partnered with Sportz Village, India’s largest youth sports organization with a vision to impact 100 million kids through the power of play/sport. The KJOM program in India, will cover selected 10 schools in Pune, Maharashtra and will impact over 5000 kids.

To kick-start the project in India, the Kinder Joy of Moving trainers from Alba, Italy, visited Pune to conduct “Train the Trainers” program with the 10 partner schools. This step was integral to ensure that the methodology’s best practices are effectively shared with the local school trainers through well-planned knowledge transfer sessions.  The 2-day training added great value in cascading the Kinder Joy of Moving methodology and the all-encompassing sports curriculum carefully crafted by Ferrero, in close association with the Rome University “Foro Italico”, MIUR of the Piedmont Region and the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI).

Regional Head Kinder India, Amedeo Aragona, says, “Ferrero engages with the community on various levels. With KJOM, we are delighted to bring a tested methodology in sports to India, that encourages an all-rounded lifestyle.  The joy of moving instinctively shifts the focus from performance to fun, from competition to collaboration. We are excited to start the journey in India and educate children through movement, joy, and learning that will assist them during their entire life.”

Adds Parminder Gill, Cofounder & Head of Corporate Business, “Sportz Village has over a decade long experience in using sport/ play to improve the educational and developmental outcomes of children – making Sportz Village a natural choice as a strategic partner for KJOM.”
