UP Govt. announces construction of a new stadium in the native village of cricketer Mohammed Shami.


The state government in Uttar Pradesh  is building a new cricket stadium in Sahaspur, a small village is Amroha, where India's World Cup star Mohammed Shami was born. Shami has been the standout bowler in the ongoing World Cup, with 23 wickets from just six matches.

 

Given the good performance of bowler Mohammed Shami, the Yogi Adityanath government has announced the construction of a cricket stadium in his native place. Administration starts search for land for stadium.

 

The Amroh district administration has issued instructions regarding the construction of a stadium in Shami’s village, Sahaspur Ali Nagar. On the instruction of the District Magistrate, Rajesh Tyagi, the Chief Development Officer of Amroh reached the Sahaspur Ali village along with his team. They have started to search for suitable land where the stadium can be built.
