Air service started between New Delhi, Dehradun and Pithoragarh


Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia virtually inaugurated the flight service connecting New Delhi to Dehradun and Pithoragarh. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami also participated in this program from Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand.

The flight connecting the two cities is to be operated by “Fly Big” under the RCS (regional connectivity scheme) UDAN scheme. Pithoragarh Airport has been developed as 2B VFR airport under UDAN-RCS scheme at a cost of Rs 6.68 crore. RCS flight between Dehradun and Pithoragarh was provided under flight 4.2. Fly Big will operate a 19-seat twin-engined DHC 6-400 aircraft to transport passengers. This flight will initially operate 3 days a week as per the following schedule.
