Major General Harsh Chibber takes over as Commandant of College of Defence Management, Secunderabad


Major General Harsh Chibber took over as Commandant of the College of Defense Management, Secunderabad from Rear Admiral Sanjay Dutt on May 31, 2024. Major General Harsh Chibber, an alumnus of the National Defense Academy, was commissioned into the Military Service Corps in December 1988.

Major General Harsh Chhibber holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Public Policy as well as two MPhil degrees in Business Management and Public Administration. He has also completed the Technical Staff Officer Course (TSOC), Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC) and Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration (APPPA).

Major General Chhibber's military experience includes various important assignments in the Eastern, Northern and Western sectors. He has commanded a Para ASC Company, an ASC Battalion and the ASC Training Centre. He has also served as Brigadier General Staff (Information Systems) in the Eastern Sector and Major General (Operational Logistics) in the Northern Sector. Major General Chhibber has also served as an instructor at the Army Service Corps Centre and College and as Director Personnel and Head of the Financial Management Department at the College of Defence Management. A large number of software applications developed and implemented by him are being used in several units.
