Indian Air Force and Indian Army jointly carried out the first precision para-drop operation

The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Army have jointly carried out a first-of-its-kind precision para-drop operation of Arogya Maitri Health Cube at an altitude of close to 15,000 feet. A defence spokesperson said these Critical Trauma Care Cubes have been indigenously developed under Project BHISHMA (India Health Initiative Sahyog Hit Aur Maitri), and will provide critical support to Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) affected areas.

The Indian Air Force used its advanced tactical transport aircraft C-130J Super Hercules to airlift and para-drop the Cube. The Agra-based Indian Army's Para Brigade played a key role in the successful deployment of the Trauma Care Cube using its advanced precision drop equipment.
