ISRO launched earth observation satellite EOS-08


The Indian Space Research Organisation on Friday launched the third developmental flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh at 9:17 am. What are the mission objectives of ISRO's SSLV-D3/EOS-08 mission? To demonstrate reliable and consistent performance of SSLV vehicle systems.

The EOS-08 satellite is designed for Earth observation and has advanced technology for various tasks such as disaster monitoring, environmental observation and surveillance. It includes multiple payloads that can capture images in the infrared, monitor UV radiation and measure soil moisture and sea winds.
