Vice Admiral Rajesh Dhankhar NM took over as Director General, Project Seabird from Vice Admiral Tarun Sobti on 28 August 2024. He has been mandated to oversee the largest defence infrastructure project currently underway at Karwar Naval Base. The Change of Guard took place at Project Seabird Headquarters in New Delhi. Vice Admiral Rajesh Dhankhar was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 01 July 1990 and is a specialist in Navigation and Direction.
