PCIM&H Receives ISO/SO IMS Certifications


The Commission for Pharmacopoeia of Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) under the aegis of Ministry of AYUSH has received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Integrated Management System (IMS) certification. This achievement represents a significant step forward for the AYUSH sector and paves the way for increasing global recognition and setting a new benchmark for excellence in Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy.

PCIM&H has been awarded IS/ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management System (QMS), IS/ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management System (EMS) and IS/ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS).

These awards reaffirm PCIM&H’s commitment towards maintaining global standards of quality, environmental protection and workplace safety. These certifications not only enhance the operational efficiency of PCIM&H but also support the Ministry of AYUSH’s mission of promoting high standards in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homeopathy. Dr. Raman Mohan Singh, Director, PCIM&H said, “This certification system will help PCIM&H in enhancing operational efficiency and also help in meeting global quality standards.

PCIM&H is developing quality standards for Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homeopathy medicines in the form of pharmacopoeia. The IMS certification system will help in ensuring compliance with international acceptance of pharmacopoeia standards developed by PCIM&H for ASU&H medicines.
