India’s first fashion forecasting initiative ‘Vizio NXT’ launched

Taking a significant step to strengthen India's position in the global fashion industry, the Union Textiles Minister unveiled the 'Visionext Fashion Forecasting Initiative' developed by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The launch event also saw the launch of a bilingual web portal and India-specific fashion trend book 'Paridhi 24×25', a comprehensive guide to India's fashion and textiles sector.

After the year 2014, he said that in this era of fast fashion, the Vizio NXT initiative will encourage healthy global competition and take Indian culture and design to new heights on the global platform. He said that the fashion industry will benefit from Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emotional Intelligence (EI) based trend insights offered by Vizio NXT. He said that this service will establish India as a leader in the global fashion sector. India started giving priority to indigenous design and manufacturing and Vizio NXT is a result of this change.

To support weavers, manufacturers, retailers, home businesses, domestic designers and fashion brands, the report is available in Hindi and English through the Vizio NXT portal ( www.visionxt.in ). The initiative empowers users to design, produce and launch consumer-centric, targeted collections for this diverse nation. 'Paridhi' will mark the launch of the first inclusive fashion trend forecast by Vizio NXT along with a web portal to disseminate India-specific fashion trends.
