Indian Govt. launches Operation Dronagiri under National Geospatial Policy


Operation Dronagiri, launched on November 14, 2024, under the National Geospatial Policy 2022, is a pivotal project aimed at demonstrating the applications of geospatial technologies and enhancing the quality of life for citizens while easing business processes in India. Spearheaded by the Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Professor Abhay Karandikar, the initiative underscores India’s commitment to becoming a leader in the geospatial domain.

As Operation Dronagiri progresses, it is envisioned to transition into a nationwide initiative implemented under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
