An international airport will be built in Ayodhya in the name of Maharishi Valmiki ji

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the proposal to declare Ayodhya Airport as an International Airport and name it “Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham”. Ayodhya's economic potential and as a global pilgrimage destination It is very important to give international status to Ayodhya Airport to understand its importance and to open its doors to foreign pilgrims and tourists.

The name of the airport, “Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham” pays tribute to Maharishi Valmiki, who composed the epic Ramayana. This name has also added a cultural element to the identity of the airport. Ayodhya with its deep cultural roots is strategically positioned to become a major economic hub and pilgrimage site. The airport's ability to attract international pilgrims and businesses is in line with the city's historical reputation.
