Flight from Ayodhya to Ahmedabad gets green signal

Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Shri Jyotiraditya M Scindia today flagged off the direct flight from New Delhi between Ayodhya and Ahmedabad. With this inauguration, Ayodhya will get three direct flights a week from Ahmedabad. On this occasion, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath, Tourism and Culture Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Jaiveer Singh, MP from Ayodhya Shri Lallu Singh and Member of Parliament from Ahmedabad Dr. Kirit Premjibhai Solanki were present.

In his inaugural address, he said that the direct flight from Ayodhya to Ahmedabad will further boost air connectivity between the two cities. He also said that both the cities truly represent India. He said that on one hand Ahmedabad is a symbol of India's economic power and on the other hand Ayodhya represents India's spiritual and civilizational power. Air connectivity between the two cities will lead to economic development and will also boost travel and tourism.

He also reiterated that the airport is in fulfillment of the Prime Minister's vision that airports are not just 'airports' but also gateways to the ethos, culture and history of a region. The exterior structure of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport is inspired by the Ram Temple, and the terminal building depicts the life journey of Lord Rama through beautiful paintings and artworks.
