AIR CHIEF MARSHAL AP SINGH TAKES OVER AS THE CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF


On September 30, 2024, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh officially took over as the Chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF), succeeding Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, who retired after three years in the role. Prior to his appointment, Air Marshal Singh served as the Vice Chief of the Air Staff since February 2023.  Born on October 27, 1964, he was commissioned into the IAF’s fighter pilot stream on December 21, 1984. With a nearly four-decade career, he has held numerous command, staff, instructional, and foreign postings.
