Allcargo Logistics organises Dadar beach clean-up drive to build awareness for a cleaner beach environment

Allcargo Logistics, India’s largest integrated, end-to-end logistics solutions provider, organized a beach clean-up drive at Dadar beach on September 03, 2022. In collaboration with renowned environmental activist Chinu Kwatra, around 200 employees picked up one ton of plastic waste which was sent for recycling. The beach clean-up drive is a part of the group’s ESG initiative, Allcargo Greens which aims to conserve the environment, reduce waste and use renewable energy sources.

The beach clean-up drive aims to restore beauty of the beach apart from boosting the coastal and ocean eco-system and enhancing the standards of marine life.  The key purpose of the beach-clean drive this year is also to restore the beach after the ongoing Ganpati visarjan in Mumbai.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty, Chairman, Allcargo Logistics, said “The beach clean-up drive at Dadar is a part of our mission to give back to nature. Our result-oriented actions reflect the strong core values of the group, guiding and motivating us to do our bit for the environment and society. The clean-up drive will raise awareness among people on the importance of eliminating plastic pollution from the marine eco-system. I would like to thank my colleague for their enthusiastic participation. We are grateful to the authorities for their support to make it a success. We’ll continue work towards encouraging all to care for the environment we live in and embrace eco-friendly practices to build a greener future for the generations to come.”

Allcargo Greens is an initiative by Allcargo Logistics, to conserve the environment, reduce waste and use renewable energy sources. It is a collective group effort to work towards a greener future and become transforming agents in building a sustainable environment. Allcargo Greens in the past organised beach clean-up activities at Juhu beach and Dadar beach in Mumbai with the active participation from Allcargo Logistics employees and other partners.
