India conducts first successful flight test of missile named ‘Mission Divyastra’


Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) conducted the first successful flight test of the indigenously developed Agni-5 missile equipped with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology. This flight test named 'Mission Divyastra' was conducted from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha. Various telemetry and radar stations tracked and monitored multiple re-entry vehicles. The mission successfully met the specified parameters.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi highly appreciated the efforts of DRDO scientists participating in the conduct of this complex mission. The Prime Minister said in a post on social media platform It's a test.'

The Defense Minister has also congratulated the concerned scientists and the entire team, calling it an extraordinary success.
